Abstract
This article tries to bring restorers and conservatives closer to the criteria of interior lighting of cultural property. To do this, basic concepts of physics and lighting are reviewed, necessary to explain the conditioning factors of this kind of lighting. The types of control of the damage produced by light on objects are analyzed. Finally, the classes of light sources and their criteria for use in museums and art galleries are explained, with special mention of lighting systems using light conductors.
