Abstract

The National Museum of Roman Art in Mérida houses archaeological materials from the Roman colony Augusta Emerita. The center was inaugurated in 1986 in a building designed by the architect Rafael Moneo, nestled on the ruins of the city itself, next to the monumental complex of the Roman theater and amphitheater.
