Abstract
This article describes the restore jobs that are carried out
in the sites of the Railroad Trench: Galería, Gran Dolina and Sima
del Elefante (Sierra de Atapuerca, Burgos). Fundamental aspects are synthesized
mental health related to the Restoration, from the role it plays
this discipline within the research team, up to the main pro
problems presented by the materials recovered in these deposits and the specific treatments applied to them. A portrait faithful to reality is offered, which shows the daily practice at the sites and in the respective research centers.
After several years of excavations and systematic studies, the Restoration has been gradually incorporated into the work carried out by the research team so that, at present, it is a fully individualized discipline although closely related to the rest of the specialties .
