Abstract

This article describes the work carried out by the restorer Almudena Casado Bernal in her internship as the first beneficiary of the agreement between the School for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets and the Center for Documentation and Textile Museum of Terrassa. This agreement allows a student already graduated to enjoy training practices in textile restoration on real work belonging to the museum's collection. The restored piece is a Coptic fabric dated between the 5th and 6th centuries AD. belonging to the Biosca collection of the CDMT. The treatments begin with the analysis of the textile fibers and continue with all the restoration treatments carried out on the Coptic fabric (disassembly, cleaning, reintegration, consolidation and exhibition assembly), until reaching a result that allows its correct storage and future exhibition .
