Abstract
The brief tour through a group of significant works by Joan Miró from the collections of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid is the excuse to address issues related to the various pictorial techniques used by the artist throughout his career, his way of using materials and his evolution towards simplicity. At the same time, we will stop at some paintings that present certain conservation problems that tend to be specific to the artistic technique used in each case, but which, very often, have a direct relationship with the specific nature of the conservation of contemporary art.
