Abstract
The objective of the work presented is to gather and organize some aspects related to the technique of the incarnation of our wood sculpture, since its knowledge, still insufficient, is the basis for the conservation-restoration actions. The treatments and cleaning methods of the meat are still very general and rarely take into account the diverse typology of the meat that results from the combination of the different materials and procedures used by painters and polychromators. In the world of conservation, collaboration between scientists and restorers is becoming more and more necessary every day in order to investigate more specific treatments aimed at polychromies that require a deeper understanding of them.
