Abstract
This work is presented as the second part of the study of the artistic set of stucco-marble of the Palace of the Congress of Deputies of Madrid. The objective is to carry out a technical examination of the stucco-marble of the four Desks of the Palace. The study is based on numerous micro-samples taken from them: morphological study of individual particles using optical microscopy (MO), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (MET); Elemental analysis by X-ray energy dispersion (DEX) microanalysis with SEM and MET and crystalline identification from electron diffraction (DE) with MET. The existence of a plaster of great fineness and purity has been verified. The pigments used are mainly yellow, ocher, red and green natural earths; The results related to the identification of some examples are presented.
