Abstract
This article shows some conservation and restoration treatments for the scrolls in the restoration laboratory of the National Historical Archive, Madrid. Mounts for exhibitions of scrolls need a radically different approach from that used for works of art and documents in general, on paper. The parchment reacts extremely to changes in the environment of HR and Tª, so it seems essential to establish new designs of the mounting methods for exhibitions, adapting them to its nature. For this, each skin must be accepted as unique, avoiding generalizations.
