Abstract
Starting from the bases established by the Organic Law of Education, a study of the development of the Degree in Conservation and Restoration of
Cultural assets at the ESCRBC, implemented during the 2010-2011 academic year. The
Achievement of the Bachelor's degree, which allows access to the Master and the Doctorate, is a fundamental aspect for the development of the profession of conservation and restoration. This important goal has been reached since three
fundamental steps: the organization of higher artistic education
within the framework of the European Higher Education Area, regulation by
the Ministry of Education of the teachings of Degree in Conservation and
Restoration of Cultural Property, and the establishment of the curriculum
of the Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets in the Community of Madrid. Completing this stage, the assignment of
the Superior School of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets to the General Directorate of Universities of the Community of Madrid, and the current situation in the development of these teachings.
