Abstract
From the observation of the way of carrying out the chromatic reintegration process by different restorers, a series of questions are raised that show a common problem in its development. Faced with this problem, a new tool is proposed to carry out the reintegration process, based on the use of chromatic tables or charts as a chromatic reference system; its use allows the restorer to identify the color to be restored. being able to decompose it in its trichromatic components: yellow, magenta and cyan, as well as in the percentages of each one of them, so that it can reproduce it again by any of the traditional techniques. Some of the results of the assessment of this new methodology, in relation to the help it provides to the restorer, are shown and discussed in this work.
