Abstract
The work campaign of the students of the Higher School of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets of Madrid, July 2002, consisted of an intervention on paleontological remains. This work aims to take a tour of all the phases of paleontological conservation work, from the extraction of 15 million-year-old giant tortoise shells, to the storage of some or the exhibition of others. The work consisted in cleaning the bone surface and consolidating large volumes of sand that housed the shells inside. Finally, each of the four treated specimens was provided with a rigid support or bed.
