Abstract

Throughout the Jarama valley, saline springs are spread
for the extraction of salt since prehistoric times. The excavations of the sali
areas of Espartinas have made it possible to establish a chronology of the exploitation of
the salt. The most abundantly extracted material in the cuts made has been
ceramics: 3000 fragments. This type of deposit has parallels in Zamora
(Spain) and in Europe. Salt was an important economic resource so
to your local consumption as your trade.
The positive in silicone of the basketry imprints that appear in some fragments
ceramic ments has made it possible to recognize the fibers and wefts with which it is
rum for making containers. These were later used
for cooking the brine.
