Abstract

It was 1962. The Director General of Fine Arts, at the time Mr. Gratiniano Nieto Gallo, later Rector of the University, was thinking about the creation of a large center for the treatment, conservation and restoration of Spanish works of art, the ethnology, archeology and graphic documentation, so abundant and battered in our national heritage.
