Abstract
In southern European countries, theft and illicit export of works of art continue
resulting in a real scourge. The collecting and the high prices achieved in the
international market for art and antiques, far from being a brake, incentivize
go irregular traffic. Several cases and situations are analyzed here - especially in
Spanish territory - that outline a worrying panorama from which not even the
public museums. At the same time, the field of bibliographic heritage is reviewed
co and archival, whose indentation is not always detectable, and the thorny cues
tion of the archaeological heritage, even more unprotected.
